Defensive Tactics Recertification

The NTS Defensive Tactics Recertification course is a six-hour blended learning defensive tactics course, designed specifically for private security personnel. This online component is approximately 3 hours. Upon successful completion, the in-person physical tactics skills proficiency component must be completed within 90-days of completing the online portion. 

The NTS Defensive Tactics Recertification course (CA 352) is an approved course by the Minnesota Board of Private Detective and Protective Agent Services. The course provides security personnel with an annual refresher of the fundamental understanding of defensive tactics/use-of-force, the human factors science behind its methodology, the laws and policies that surround and dictate the use-of force, as well as effective and simple to learn defensive tactics that security officers/protective agents can utilize if they or others come under physical attack and escape is not an option.
