NTS Initial Defensive Tactics

The NTS Initial Defensive Tactics course is a 3-day (18 hour) defensive tactics course, designed specifically for private security personnel, that can be delivered 100% in person, or it can be delivered as a blended course, where the first day consists of online learning via NTSs learning management system, and the final two days consists of in-person learning with the focus on physical tactics. This is the online component or Day #1 of the course. 

The NTS Initial Defensive Tactics course (IA 201) is an approved course by the Minnesota Board of Private Detective and Protective Agent Services. The course provides security personnel with a fundamental understanding of defensive tactics/use-of-force, the human factors science behind its methodology, the laws and policies that surround and dictate the use-of force, as well as effective and simple to learn defensive tactics that security officers/protective agents can utilize if they or others come under physical attack and escape is not an option.
